Let's Talk About Astarion's Clothes and Be Sad

So we all know the clothing descriptions indicate Astarion has been carefully repairing his clothes for years. I've read a lot of people that theorized the spawn wouldn't get new clothes from Cazador.

But I have my own theory. See the spawn were meant to lure victims back to the manor by pretending to be rich and promising them an incredible night in a fancy house. They had to look the part. So Cazador was more than happy to make sure his spawn were well dressed.

But of course should they damage any of their clothes, they would be punished for it. Did it matter than their clothes were aged? No, Cazador is immortal, he doesn't care how long they've had them. So of course they were welcome to make requests, that just had to explain the holes and tears, and be taught a lesson for not taking care of their things. After all, they were his children, he needed to instruct them.

So Astarion and the others learn to patch and repair rather than go begging for anything new and be educated on the consequences of their actions.
